EDLD 509-Educational Leadership in a Pluralistic Society (Dr. David Anderson)
The purpose of this course was to open future administrators eyes to some of the issues facing students and education. The class encompassed the idea of pluralism. This is the idea of acceptance and tolerance of all students. Students were encouraged to teach a section of the material (My group did racism and ethnicity.) and also to volunteer at an organization and write an organizational analysis and present it to another student through a poster-board slide show presentation (I chose Gleaner’s Community Foodbank and Pantry of Howell.). Below are links to examples of my work.

EDLD 515-Instructional Leadership (Dr. Barbara Bleyaert)
The purpose of this course was to show and provide examples of instructional leaders. Students are asked to complete a curriculum review, practice observations and complete an observation with a colleague. The observation was done in several stages. There was the pre-conference meeting, the observation, the post conference meeting and the professional growth plan. Throughout the observation process, students had to remember the differences between an observation and an evaluation and this was not an evaluation and we were not grading or judging out colleagues. At the end of the course students are asked to create an instructional platform and a personal professional growth plan. Examples of coursework can be observed by clicking on the links below.
